Public Lookouts

Mt Charlotte Lookout: Walk to the top of Mt Charlotte Reservoir for great views of the city. The site is the terminus of water piped 563km from Mundaring Weir in Perth to the Goldfields. An amaxing engineering feat completed in 1903 that gave Kalgoorlie-Boulder its most precious of all resources - water! The project remains as a tribute to the genius of engineer C.Y.O'Connor and in 2003 saw the establishment f a water feature and information panels as part of the centenary celebrations.

Super Pit Lookout: Hanualt Road, Off Goldfields Highway. View the largest working gold mine in the Southern Hemisphere from the lookout. Open 7am - 9pm. Contact the Visitor Centre for blasting times.
