In March 2006 the Kalgoorlie Goldfields Visitor Centre relocated to the stunning new premises of the Kalgoorlie Town Hall.

The ever busy Visitor Centre attracts up to 130,000 people through the doors every year and the new, modern Centre will allow for much more displays and a continual flow through the door. A new era of the Visitors Centre was opened by the enthusiastic staff as they move forward with new beginnings.

The quality customer service experience commences upon entering the centre, our friendly staff answering your phone call or replying to an email, or even the prominent signage to let you know where we are.

As you walk up the steps to this more than 100 year old historic building, we are found on the left through the grand double doors where the bright and spacious surrounds await you and the warm and friendly smile of one of us greets you.

We are here to provide you, our valued visitors, with all the up to date information on Kalgoorlie and the Goldfields and stack an extensive array of brochures, not only from our region, but from all over the state. All visitors are also more than welcome to take a seat in front of the authentic ornamental fire place in the one hundred year old original Council Chamber Chairs as you peruse all the reading material we have available. All the while, our visitors are situated nearby to the friendly and knowledgeable staff who can assist with any queries as they arise. You will be so comfortable you will not want to leave!

Souvenirs, Local Produce and Jewellery

The Visitor Centre offers an extensive range of Goldfields Souvenirs, be it for the grandchildren with a T-shirt, or if you are here to indulge with a piece of stunning gold jewellery, we have the right piece of Kalgoorlie Goldfields for you. Our Visitor Centre boasts the largest collection of Goldfields books for sale, and also sells local produce including pottery.

Kalgoorlie Town Hall

Once you have all that you need for your personalised Kalgoorlie experience you can wander through the gorgeous Kalgoorlie Town Hall, officially opened in September 8th 1908. If you are interested in historical research or genealogy, upstairs boats an extensive collection of Kalgoorlie historical records, previously held at the Kalgoorlie Library.

Kalgoorlie Town Hall Function Hire

The Kalgoorlie Goldfields Visitor Centre offers function hire services of the Kalgoorlie Town Hall on behalf of the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder. The Town Hall has both a large hall, with glorious floorboards, ceiling, stage and upstairs seating, but also a Banquet room available for hire. There are kitchen and toilet facilities also at the Kalgoorlie Town Hall.
