For those who love to get outdoors, Kalgoorlie-Boulder offers a wide choice of leisure parks, walking trails & natural woodlands suited to all age groups. Get outdoors, play and explore Kalgoorlie's breathtaking natural landscape consisting of bright skies, red earth and wide open spaces.

Hammond Park, Kalgoorlie
Hammond Park is the jewel of the City's parks and reserves. It houses a native bird and animal collection, and is home to a variety of fish and birds using the pond area. It is also the home to the City's miniature Bavarian Castle. The park can be utilised for functions, parties & bbq's. It is a popular venue for family groups and children - the kids will play for hours! There are two separate bbq areas and a large gazebo area. Located on Memorial Drive, Kalgoorlie.

 
Centennial Park, Kalgoorlie
Centennial Park has an extensive grassed area with play equipment that is used by a large number of families. The park is equipped with a sound shell, which is used throughout the year for popular events such as Sunset at the Soundshell, Carols by Candlelight, Community Concert, Christmas in the Park, Australia Day Celebrations and a number of school concerts. Located on Hannan Street, Kalgoorlie.

 
Kingsbury Park, Kalgoorlie
Kingsbury Park is an ideal park for both young children and youth, as it is equipped with a skate park and a large children's playground, as well as open grassed areas for families to enjoy. Large trees surround the park, ensuring there is plenty of shade for the warmer months, making it an ideal picnic spot in the heart of the City. Located on the corner of Macdonald and Wilson Streets.

 
Kalgoorlie Arboretum, Kalgoorlie
The Kalgoorlie Arboretum provides an excellent window to the Goldfields eucalypt woodlands. It offers a wide variety of native flora, walk trails for all ages, picnic tables in a grassed area under the shade of river red gums, and a small dam that attracts a variety of waterbirds. It is a 26 hectare reserve, and is the home to around 60 eucalyptus species. The Arboretum is great for families, photographers, walkers and nature observation at its best. Located on Hawkins Street, Kalgoorlie.

 
Karlkurla Bushland Park, Kalgoorlie
Karlkurla's bushland and walking trails cover a total area of 200 hectares of natural regrowth, and is home to several species of flora as well as birds and other wildlife such as Emus, Kangaroos and Lizards, which may be spotted in the park. There is a lookout tower which offers panoramic views of bushland surrounding Kalgoorlie-Boulder, and many picturesque picnic spots with shaded tables provided every 200 metres along the track. Located on  Riverina Way, Kalgoorlie.

 
Loopline Park, Boulder
Boulder's Loopline Park offers plenty of grassed shade, as well as playground equipment, a rotunda and BBQ facilities. The park plays host to the Boulder Markets which are held on the third Sunday of every month. The historical Loopline Tour will re-commence operation in 2012, and will depart from the Loopline Park, travelling to the Superpit Lookout. Located on Burt Street, Boulder.

 
Rotary Peace Park, Kalgoorlie
The tranquil Rotary Peace Park is great for kids and offers a large family recreation area, BBQ facilites and grassed picnic areas. Relax and enjoy the scenery and birdlife by the water. The park is also suited to cyclists. Located on Martin Street, Kalgoorlie.
