APLA Amalgamated Prospectors & Leaseholders Association of WA was formed in 1904 at a goldrush site south of Kalgoorlie Boulder by amalgamating a number of existing prospecting groups into one representative body with the aim to protect and further the interests of prospectors.
Now over a century later APLA haven't lost sight of the aims of our founders.
APLA is a peak industry group in Western Australia and is well recognised nationally as a key player in the prospecting and mining industries.

Description
The Goldfields branch is located in the heart of the Eastern Goldfields, perfect for local members and those who visit for a few weeks or months a year.
We have our meetings on the last Thursday of every second month. The meetings are a great opportunity to ask questions about any issues you may have or to glean information from experienced prospectors about various aspects of gold prospecting. Visitors are welcome.
Throughout the year a number of field trips are held where members can improve their techniques and find out more about such things as panning, metal detecting, loaming and geology from experienced members and visiting experts. Come back to the Website or see the Newsletter for events planned throughout the year.
