The Museum of the Goldfields is joining national celebrations for NAIDOC Week.

Local artist Jason Dimer, a Wangkatha, Ngadju and Mirning man, will paint a mural on the concourse of the Museum.

Painting will start at 10am on Sunday, 5 July, and continue throughout NAIDOC Week.

Free take-home art packs for children containing mini canvases, paint, cotton buds and a paintbrush will also be available at the Museum. Kids will be able to follow along at home by watching instructional videos uploaded on our Facebook page and website explaining how to paint waterholes and flowers.

Hope Community Services Ltd and Act Belong Commit will be on site on the day distributing colouring packs and balloons

Everyone is welcome to come witness the masterpiece being produced before their very own eyes
