The company was established in 1992 and has been owned and operated by Darral Black since its inception. The primary retail premises of GAS are located in Kalgoorlie Boulder and are located in an iconic, purpose built building that is affectionately referred to as the “The Big Blue Castle”. In 2008, GAS increased its operational capacity and opened a wholesale warehouse in Perth, Western Australia. The Perth wholesale warehouse is located in Canning Vale, Western Australia. The addition of the Perth wholesale warehouse has not only facilitated the expansion of GAS’s product range, but also provided the valuable option of daily dispatch of orders direct from Perth. With over 15 employees, both Darral and his teams (in Kalgoorlie Boulder and Perth) are well regarded for their ongoing commitment to quality service and competitive pricing for commercial spare parts (both genuine and non-genuine); in particular, GAS caters to the fast paced and multi-faceted needs of the mining industry and as such, has a diverse customer base that spans not only Australia, but various countries throughout the world.
