In Paddy’s Footsteps is a 1.5-hour guided walking tour led by the Eastern Goldfields Historical Society, offering a deeper connection to the people, places and events that shaped Kalgoorlie’s early history. Departing from the Kalgoorlie Boulder Visitor Centre, the tour follows in the footsteps of Paddy Hannan and explores the legendary discoveries and stories that transformed the Goldfields.

Presented only on select public holidays, this limited offering adds a sense of occasion and makes each tour a truly special heritage experience. Delivered using personal headsets, the tour ensures every story and detail can be clearly heard as you move through historic streetscapes. The walk is conducted at a moderate pace with frequent stops, allowing time to reflect on the heritage and significance of each location.

Cancellation Policy

Terms & Conditions •Bookings are limited to 30 participants per tour. •Payment is required at the time of booking and is non-refundable, unless the tour is cancelled by the organiser. •Tours operate rain or shine. In the event of extreme weather or unforeseen circumstances, the tour may be cancelled or rescheduled. If cancelled by the organiser, a full refund will be provided. •Participants must arrive at the Kalgoorlie Boulder Visitor Centre at least 15 minutes prior to the tour start time to collect their headset. Late arrivals may not be able to join the tour and no refund will be given. •The tour is an outdoor walking experience of approximately 1.5 hours, conducted at a moderate pace with frequent stops. •Participants are responsible for their own safety and should wear comfortable walking shoes, appropriate clothing, wear a hat and bring water. •The tour route includes footpaths, and road crossings. •Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. •Headsets are provided for the duration of the tour and must be returned at the conclusion of the walk. Lost or damaged equipment may incur a replacement fee. •The tour is guided by the Eastern Goldfields Historical Society in partnership with the Kalgoorlie Boulder Visitor Centre. Accessibility: This tour is conducted on public streets and footpaths and may not be suitable for all mobility levels.
