Artist Hub Project – Kalgoorlie

The Artist Hub is a welcoming, shared space for artists to connect, experiment and support each other without pressure, hierarchy, or the need to present finished work. The focus is on curiosity, collaboration and learning rather than productivity or outcomes.

The hub hosts regular peer-led sessions where artists can share their processes, ideas, challenges and unfinished work in an open, conversational environment. Activities may include informal talks, skill-sharing, and practical workshops on topics such as documenting artwork, setting up exhibitions, and basic sound or lighting.

Music and creativity come together through relaxed jam sessions open to all levels, encouraging improvisation, listening and playful collaboration across different art forms and cultural backgrounds.

To encourage engagement, the hub offers free workshops, open sessions and a shared resource space with art materials. Regular activities include themed gatherings every second Saturday, an anonymous idea and feedback board, shared materials for collective projects, and optional studio access for artists who want focused time to work.

The Artist Hub creates a supportive environment where artists can move freely between individual practice and collective exchange, building community while nurturing their own creative paths.
