Science After Dark is a science fair run at the Museum of the Goldfields each year over National Science Week. The event showcases what mining companies, the council and other organisations in the region are doing.

The objective of this program is to encourage an interest in science among the public and encourage children to be fascinated by the world we live in.

The activities presented at the event are run by staff from several partnering organisations including:

• Robogals
• Goldfields St Ives
• City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder
• Water Corporation
• KCGM
• Evolution Mining Mungari Operations
• Eastern Goldfields College

All of these organisations will run activities which are related to their operations. The activities help develop learning of real world applications of scientific concepts and stimulate curiosity.
