It's the summer of 2014, the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings & octogenarian Bernie is stuck in care, forbidden to join fellow veterans at the commemoration. But with his wife's permission, he plans an escape - and makes an emotional journey back to Normandy, in the memory of his fallen friends.
