Wracked by guilt after covering up a murder, Mona, a retired Sudanese singer, tries to make amends by taking in the victim's widow, Julia and her son. Unable to confess to Julia, Mona decides to leave the past behind & adjust to the new status quo, but the country's turmoil finds its way into her home & forces her to face her sins.
