Arj, a down-on-his-luck guy is working miscellaneous jobs while living out of his car. He's hired by a new acquaintance Jeff, who lives in the Hollywood Hills, to do various jobs for him. A well-meaning but rather inept angel named Gabriel meddles in the lives of both the men, trading them with one another. What follows is a hilarious series of events as the men adapt to their change of circumstance.
